Most ingredients just keep killing skin cells, resulting in even MORE odor because that dead skin is then covered with more chemicals and ingredients that create a barrier to the bacteria and it’s an endless odor and gross cycle of dead skin, chemicals, and more bacteria. Sounds lovely, doesn’t it?
Lactic acid helps dissolve the plug of skin cells that build up around the hair follicle, smoothing out the bumpiness, and allowing the new bacteria to be easily accessed with a single light spray of the product. This is why you can sometimes go 1-3 days without smelling again!
However, As the acid sloughs away skin cells, it leaves new cells more vulnerable to UV damage. Shaving also acts as an exfoliant which is why you need to take extra care when applying to freshly shaven skin or when exposing skin to the sun. As long as you’re doing these two things, your skin is safe and protected.
When you start using Zen Pits, you must be committed to protecting your skin and following the directions to avoid irritation. Monitor your skin carefully and scale back or stop using the product if you notice any irritation. If you have any irritation give your skin a day or two break, then try again by spraying on skin, waiting 15-30 seconds then simply wash off! You’ll still kill the bacteria but your skin won’t be exposed to the active ingredient long term to cause irritation to sensitive skin.
Additional Care tips:
Give your pits a 3-day detox of all other products before beginning. This removes the build-up of residues from other products and gives your product a clean slate to work with. If you don’t do this, you could cause ingredient interactions.
Don’t put any lotions, creams, or serums on your pits or anywhere you are using the product.
Always avoid direct exposure to the sun immediately after applying. If you plan on spending the day at the beach, you may just want to skip using that day!
If possible, apply 12 hours away from shaving.
If you have known sensitive skin, start with one spray every other day.
Each person’s skin is as unique as they are. With Zen Pits all you have to do is listen to your skin and adjust your sprays and frequency accordingly. I have never been so happy with a product. Don’t let the price point fool you this is worth every penny. Even if this bottle only lasted me a month I would still pay the same amount but it will last you 3-5 months depending on use. I’m NEVER going back to anything else. I put on one spray and 24 hours later went and worked out and still didn’t smell. I will always be keeping an extra bottle around just incase. Seriously do not question this just try it for yourself.

This deodorant is a game changer! I went 2 days without it and no smell! It DOES sting on freshly shaved pits so be mindful and follow the instructions.
It’s such a light mist and doesn’t leave you cakey or leave white streaks everywhere.

So I wanted to wait a bit to write a review because everything in the past has worked a few days or even a week and then stopped or caused rashes and fire pits lol.
So let’s jump into my review…..first of all I have tried everything! Like I have legit spent hundreds of dollars trying to find a deodorant that I felt was safe and controlled my smelly onion pits (maybe tmi) but I sweat a lot. And quite frankly nothing worked. I decided to give Zen Pits a chance since I trust Holly in pretty much every other aspect of my life (except that one time she was talking about ditching coffee, my heart still hurts from that one ???), why wouldn’t I trust her with my pits too!? So I gave it a go because someone was kind of enough to buy me a surprise bottle. I spent 2 full days hiding from people lol cause I knew that detox period would be rough. And omg…..I literally cannot believe how good this works. I don’t smell at all!!!!!! Now I will say that I am not the person that can skip a day. I found that out the hard way but I am super content with spraying one time every day and having no smell, no rash, no itchy armpits, nada! I have since convinced my pre teen son and husband to jump on board and they were super hesitant but now I am going to have to buy stocks in it because they are both hooked too. Thank you Holly, as always for being amazing! I am #zenpits for life! PS: If price point is holding you back from trying, take my advice, jump! If you are anything like me you have wasted 100s already to find one that works or likely gone back to one that is not safe. This will be the last one you have to “try!”

I’m very leery of “all natural” and things that use “healing crystals” and the like. Being a pretty masculine male I rarely buy into gimmicks when it comes to anything to do with my body as guys like me are prone to do. But this stuff works, and works great. I have a very stressful job and can be extremely active during it, I’ve had no issues with it fading away like so many of the other “all natural” deodorants available. When my wife showed it to me I balked at it. Then I tried it and boy was I wrong. It only takes on spray per underarm and you are ready to go for over 24 hours. I followed the directions listed on this page detoxing my underarms and have not looked back. No artificial scents or colors, no extreme burning from super alkaline baking soda products reversing the natural pH of your skin, no cancer causing crap like the normal antiperspirants etc. Ladies or gentleman reading this review on the fence about this product, take it from a guy like me, give it a try and get ready to be pleasantly surprised. It works.

Wow!! I have used the spray for only like a week and a half, and I am totally in love well worth the $$ I can not believe there is no smell to my armpits!! After the detox period I used this 2 days, then was randomly roaming Target and realized I hadn’t sprayed or used anything else in two days and DID NOT SMELL LIKE AN ITALIAN HOAGIE like I usually do without putting on DO 5 times a day. So I ordered this because I’ve followed Holly for years and kept seeing all her positive customer reviews. Her claim is that this deodorant will change your life, girl she aint never lied! After the two day detox (the hard part) I showered and sprayed one spray per arm. The next day I tested the “not needed daily” theory and y’all, it WORKED!!! Even after a hot flash and a full day of moving, around in a place with the heat turned up. Still smelling good! Yes, the upfront cost is more than a typical deodorant, but if you use as directed it’s going to last way longer too! Bonus, you get some cute crystals out of the bottle at the end!

I bought zen pits and am going strong on my 4th week of use with absolutely no reaction. It’s the first time I’ve been able to wear deodorant in 2 years. Everything broke me out in hives. Im talking about arm pits so inflamed that I couldn’t wear a shirt and as they healed they would peel and everything! I tried everything!! Hands down my favorite natural product to date!! The size may be small but the effects are HUGE!! I find that I only need to use this product one spray per pit every 3-4 days! It’s THAT effective! I literally laughed after the first day of using this. Like I almost didn’t believe that this tiny little faint spray, of clear almost odorless liquid annihilated the severe body odor I have had the past decade. I’d also felt like I smelled way worse than most people, and it caused me to be so insecure. I wouldn’t go to outdoor activities, group exercise classes or anything I may sweat even a little because it was THAT embarrassing. Finding the right natural deodorant has been a nightmare for a couple of years, more so for my husband, nothing has seemed to work for him. And if it did work, it wasn’t really a “clean” product. I wish I had taken a picture of his face when I presented him with this dainty bottle with rose quartz crystals…he thought I had lost my hippie mind! If I could give this 100 stars, I would. I have this odd body chemistry that sours anything I put under my arm, even after a shower, so of course I have tried every “natural” deodorant you can think of.
